I've decided to compile all the "yada yada" about how we got started on this page to give you an idea about what "good eating" is all about and how this interacts with the goals and intentions of these pages. My name is Scott Dusang(Doo-Sang), born and raised in Louisiana, and forever "enchanted" by the marvels and neverending creativity of fine Southern cuisine. I guess you can say I'm Cajun (kay-Zshun), all I know is I could eat seafood 24 hours a day, but that could be a wee bit unhealthy!

I own a computer business (Dactech CC) located here in Covington, Louisiana (north of New Orleans-lived here for the last 30 years after I lived in New Orleans for my first 7 years). By currently working out of my home, gives me the chance to work on a host of projects, of which this site is one. Through my experience of "wading" through the internet, I've discovered that one of the number one interests of the internet public is "What do we eat tonight?" and "I'm new here in town, where's a good place to eat?". Everyone likes to try a new restaurant, eatery, diner, cafe or steakhouse, now and then, and that's where Bayoufood.com comes in! We want to be able to offer every resource down to the last detail on finding the perfect place to dine. We will also be offering online recipes as well as other cooking hints and ideas. Hopefully coming to this site will soon begin to make folks hungry, but pe patient, good gumbo takes a while!

As far as "about us" is concerned...I have a lovely wife- Cindy, 3 handsome sons- Allen, Joey and Randy and a handful (6) Chihuahuas! (I guess you can say they're family too). I'll post some pics soon.

We all love living "down south" and are always ready to put up with a little rain, heat and humidity JUST to savour the delightful LA dishes!
